Sara Bouman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia who combines professional counseling expertise, years of mentoring and leadership experience, and a compassionate Christian worldview to help individuals and marriages find healing, hope, and restoration through life’s challenges.

Education and Background

As an LPC in the state of Georgia, Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. After the completion of her undergraduate degree, she enjoyed working as a care counselor in a group home for neglected and abused children. A deeper passion for others was realized while working with teenagers as a volunteer youth leader in her church. While she continued to work in various business roles, including event planning, project management, and marketing for companies like John C. Maxwell’s leadership organization and The 1% Club, she informally counseled and mentored women and teenagers for years.

Personal experience

Henri Nouwen said “When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers.” Sara considers herself to be a wounded healer, having chosen to enter counseling professionally after experiencing healing for herself. Because her truest source of healing was Jesus, Sara counsels from a distinctively Christian worldview, desiring to comfort others with the same comfort she has received. However, the personal spiritual journey of each client is respected regardless of faith.

The driving force behind Sara’s passion to counsel others is found here:
“…to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendor.”
– Isaiah 61:2-3

Stefanie Warren is currently a Master’s Level Counseling Intern with The Atlanta Center for Marriage and Family.

Stefanie is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Auburn University. Stefanie’s professional background includes experience in teaching, entrepreneurship as the owner of a photography studio, and raising a family.

Her decision to enter the counseling field was informed by her own positive experiences with counseling and a personal sense of calling.

Stefanie works with children, teens, adults, and couples. She adopts a warm, collaborative style, and embraces an integrative approach that recognizes mind, body, and spirit, believing healing addresses the whole person.

Stefanie is trained in clinical, research-based methods, but believes that lasting transformation comes through Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, she honors and respects each client's unique spiritual journey regardless of where they are.

When she's not counseling, Stefanie likes to spend her time reading, taking photos, and spending time with family. She and her husband Peyton, married for 19 years, actively participate in their community and church, while also keeping busy shuttling their four children to baseball, dance, music lessons, and orchestra.
